    Eschscholzia californica, also known as the Californian poppy, golden poppy, California sunlight, or cup of gold, is a species of flowering plant in the family Papaveraceae, native to the United States and Mexico. It has large, pinnately compound leaves with 11-19 lanceolate leaflets with toothed margins and no hair in the vein angles.     The Canada goose (Branta canadensis) is a large wild goose species with a black head and neck, white patches on the face, and a brown body. There is a lot of silt washed down by the rains, so skidding out on a turn is a real option. Ceanothus is a good source of nutrition for deer, specifically mule deer on the West Coast of the United States.

Once getting south of the dam, I did encounter a number of homeless camps, but did not feel unsafe even though some were quite elaborate.     Cruscuta californica, California dodder or witches hair, is a California native parasitic plant. Also, several underpasses are too narrow and have poor line of sight to see oncoming traffic. There is a string of parks, like beads, the length of the trail. The route is a nice, flat paved bike trail that takes you on the Rio Hondo bicycle path and the Los Angeles River bank path south to Long Beach. This is a small lot and was filled by 10 AM Saturday, but there is a lot of in and out.

    CAUTION: Rattlesnakes may strike when they feel threatened or are provoked. Rattlesnake bites can cause serious injury. want to promote this Facebook page for news about the trail. But in the middle, 18m ~ 13 there are some horse manures on the ground which stinks and make the road ugly and it seems nobody will clean them up. We made this our trail head for exploring the midsection of the trail. Facilities include the Lakewood Equestrian Center, the rustic, 3,000-square-foot S. Mark Taper Foundation Vista Lodge at Monte Verde Park and Rynerson Park. Use pet shampoo while wearing rubber gloves. He was entranced by the Tour de Sewer jersey – which comes in 2XL –bear sized.     The two-striped garter snake (Thamnophis hammondii) is a species of snake in the Colubridae family.

    The turkey vulture (Cathartes aura), also known in some North American regions as the turkey buzzard (or just buzzard), and in some areas of the Caribbean as the John crow or carrion crow, is a vulture that is the most widespread of the New World vultures. There was no place to exit the trail for quite a distance and this left me and other riders I saw quite vulnerable and uncomfortable. An RV, considered a lesser vehicle, is only $14. The Best feature of this trail, NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES ALLOWED! As a single female this could make for a vulnerable moment. The parks anchor thetrail. Very little markings, dirty, a little less safe - feeling (I'm a woman, riding alone.) Water, restrooms and fee parking are inside the park. Starting from the west, the first 27 miles are mostly paved and easy enough that you could tackle the trail on a beach cruiser.     Ceanothus is a genus of about 50–60 species of shrubs or small trees in the family Rhamnaceae. Most pets are not sensitive to poison oak, but the oil can stick to their fur and cause a reaction in someone who pets them.     The coyote ( Canis latrans) is a canid native to North America. What is not to like? Bouncing along, TrailBear reached down and turned off the front and rear suspension lockouts. The eyes are white. The trail is heavily trafficked and even more so on weekends. Date of experience: May 2019. Mimulus is a diverse plant genus, the monkey-flowers and musk-flowers.

    Comarostaphylis diversifolia, summer holly or California comarostaphylos, is a species of shrub in the heath family. Ahead is a RR bridge and then the 91 Freeway. Up the road 0.7 miles is Encanto Park. Indian paintbrush has similar health benefits to consuming garlic if only the flowers are eaten in small amounts and in moderation.

    The San Gabriel River Trails refer to multiple connected trails that run along the beautiful North and South San Gabriel Rivers.     The little pocket mouse (Perognathus longimembris) is a species of rodent in the family Heteromyidae. They have done a nice job on this project.
