CoS talks is a College of Science funded event and part of the 2020 Science initiatives. The event is run by Timothy Neate (Computer Science) and Jennifer Stanford (Chemistry). We aim to bring together each department of the college to discuss their research, combine expertise and collaborate! Each talk follows the following format: each speaker gets three minutes to explain a piece of research (be it broad, or narrow), then there are a few quick questions from the audience. After 4 talks (1 per department + a 'Wild Card' speaker) we then discuss over (a free) lunch. The event is informal and normally well attended - a chance to get fellow researchers excited about your passion.
To get involved contact Timothy Neate or Jennifer Stanford. Let us know your departmental affiliation, and give us a gist of your topic. We're always looking for keen people to talk about their research, so do get in touch!
