The 23rd International Workshop on Algebraic Development Techniques (WADT 2016) will take place in Gregynog, Wales, from 21st to 24th September, 2016.


WADT 20016 will be organised by Swansea University and held at the Gregynog conference centre. Gregynog is situated six miles north of Newtown in Mid Wales. It is surrounded by the beautiful Montgomeryshire countryside and Gregynog Hall is set in fabulously landscaped gardens that provide extensive grounds for peace and relaxation.

The conference centre will host all participants of the workshop and will provide all catering.

Travel Information

The nearest train station is at Newtown (Powys), approximately 6 miles from the conference centre. You can look up train connections, e.g., at National Rail. A taxi from Newton Train Station to Gregynog will take about 10 to 15 minutes.

The closest airport is Birmingham (2 hours by train). Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester and Liverpool are also a reasonable distance away with reasonable train connections.

For driving directions, please use the postcode SY16 3PL, which will bring you into the Hall grounds via the main Estate entrance. From the Berriew direction, it may also direct you to turn right towards Brooks, which is a steep single track road. Please ignore this and continue onto Bettws Cedewain.
